וְיֶ֣תֶר כָּל־דִּבְרֵֽי־אָ֠סָא וְכָל־גְּב֨וּרָת֜וֹ וְכָל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֗ה וְהֶֽעָרִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּנָ֔ה הֲלֹֽא־הֵ֣מָּה כְתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה רַ֚ק לְעֵ֣ת זִקְנָת֔וֹ חָלָ֖ה אֶת־רַגְלָֽיו׃
און די איבעריקע זאַכן װעגן אָסאָן, און זײַן גאַנצע גבֿוּרהשאַפֿט, און אַלץ װאָס ער האָט געטאָן, און די שטעט װאָס ער האָט געבױט, דאָס איז שױן באַשריבן אין בוך פֿון די צײַטגעשעענישן פֿון די מלכים פֿון יהוּדה. נאָר צו דער צײַט פֿון זײַן עלטער איז ער קראַנק געװאָרן אױף די פֿיס.

And, behold, the events (of the reign) of Assa, the earlier and the later are recorded in the book [of chronicles] of the kings of Judah and Israel.

And Assa was stricken in the thirty-ninth year of his reign in his legs and (his ailment spread) upwards. And in his sickness, too, he did not seek out the L rd, but the doctors.
